Gluten Free Mac n Cheese


1 lb. gluten free elbow macaroni

1/4 C. butter

4 Tblsp. gluten free flour

3 C. whole milk

2 C. grated cheddar

2 C. grated mozzarella

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. garlic powder

1/4 tsp. white pepper

1/2 tsp. onion powder


Pre-heat your oven to 350F

Bring a large stock pot of water to a boil and cook pasta following the directions on the package until al dente.

In the meantime, melt butter in a large saucepan and whisk in flour on medium heat. Once browned, pour in milk and continue whisking until it begins to thicken. Add your cheeses and spices and turn off the heat.

Drain pasta and add into cheese mixture. Season more if needed.

Place pasta into a large casserole and combine all of the topping ingredients together and spread on top of mac n cheese. Bake covered for 20 minutes then uncovered for 10-15 minutes until topping is golden brown.
